The purpose of the CISOA awards is to recognize excellence by a District Chief Information Systems Officer and their staff for supporting students, faculty, and staff with technology in community colleges throughout California.
This year, the Association will be looking for nominations for the “Campus Technology Excellence Award” (2 Awards). The recipient of this award should demonstrate excellence at their District or college level through technological advancements. This can include but is not limited to: green initiatives, development of new applications, infrastructure advancements, or successful execution of a technology plan or initiative. This award is open to both the District CISO and CISO nominated “Best supporting IT staff member” of the District or individual college. At least one of the two awards will be presented to a District CISO who meets the award criteria.

The awards will be presented at the CISOA annual conference held in Ontario, California March 18-20, 2012.
The California Community Colleges Chief Offices Association (CISOA) and SecureIT are pleased to announce a joint conference in 2012 to present pre-conference and conference sessions that address issues and solutions for California higher education technology professionals.
For the second year in a row, the SecureIT and CISOA organizations will come together to address current concerns of IT professionals in management, security, information systems, and IT curriculum.
The conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Ontario, CA.
